partnering the hillside behind us

I enter into the landscape a stranger.
Not much here is familiar.
I do not recognise plants and trees, although I have learnt alot from those here at SEEDS.
The maps here are partial and do not show every feature, nor every path or trail.
I walk in a landscape without labels.
I try to find out how to read the landscape without the tools and markers that usually support me in the UK. The paths end without warning. The paths barely trace a shape and brush over the land without much care.
